Kleresca® is a new treatment option for acne and skin rejuvenation. A gel is applied to the patient’s skin and then illuminated for nine minutes with a high-intensity LED light. The basis for this new technology is Biophotonic, which is the interaction of a photoconverting substance in the gel with the specifically adjusted wave length of the light. This interaction enables the light to increase its initial spectrum and to energetically reach beyond the epidermis into the dermis. Kleresca® can therefore be considered as an alternative, non-invasive and gentle treatment option. The light used does not include UV light.

Kleresca® Acne Treatment

Kleresca® Acne Treatment is licenced for the treatment of all types of acne. The best results could be obtained when treating moderately severe to severely infectious acne. The patient is treated twice per week over a six-week period. The treatment not only has an antibacterial but also an anti-inflammatory effect. The cell metabolism is normalised and owing to a diminished reaction to inflammation the prevention of unsightly scar development is likely.

Kleresca® Skin Rejuvenation

Kleresca® Skin Rejuvenation is a new treatment concept to improve the overall appearance of the skin. Small wrinkles can be smoothed, the pore size reduced and the complexion and condition of the skin improved. As a result of the production of collagen a reduction of (acne) scars can be assumed. Instead of treating individual lines the Kleresca® Skin Rejuvenation Treatment focuses on an overall better and fresher skin appearance. This is achieved by stimulating structure-producing components in the skin. Kleresca® Skin Rejuvenation needs to be applied once a week over a four-week period.

Treatment Information

For both the Kleresca® Acne Treatment and the Kleresca® Skin Rejuvenation each session will last about 30 mins in order to achieve the best results. Unless otherwise recommended, no other accompanying treatments are necessary. However, intensive direct sunlight should be avoided during the treatment period and ideally the skin should be cared for with a moisturising cream with a high sun protection factor. Acne patients should additionally ensure that a non-comedogenic cream is used.
